Direct Employment

In June 14th 2010, Global Union Federations including the IUF, the ITUC and TUAC have published a common set of principles, called to protect the workers’ rights, pointing on negative consequences of temporary employment agencies' activity for employment in general. These principles tell about the following:

1. The prior and the main form of employment should be permanent, open-ended and direct employment.

2. Temporary workers should be covered under the same conditions of the collective agreement concluded by permanent workers of the same enterprise.

3. Temporary workers should have and use equal rights in all issues as permanent workers.

4. Usage of temporary employment shouldn't increase a difference in payment and working conditions and social security between genders.

5. Employment agencies shouldn't be used to eliminate permanent and direct employment

6. Temporary employment shouldn't be used to eliminate the trade unions and undermine the workers’ right to join and lead collective negotiations.

Our site appreciates joint and common position of IUF, ITUC and TUAC about superiority of principle of direct employment at staff employment and calls the employers who search for the staff to be guided by direct employment with official job placement and with social warranties. Employers should specify all warranties and conditions for temporary positions.

Compliance with the principals described above you will be able to find employees quickly and you will not have problems with the legislation or with trade unions.
